The steel liners are actually sunk into the inner side of the fiberglass (G10) handle slabs, compared to the simple sandwiched construction of many similar knives which leaves the liner visible all around and tends to make the handle thicker than necessary.
The spacers between the handle halves and the blade+washers are both well-matched to each other's thickness. I occasionally see knives, sometimes even from expensive brands, with handles, washers, and spacers which just aren't the right thickness, causing the blade to wiggle or push off-center. This knife's blade is perfectly straight and solid in both the opened and closed positions.
The parts are all shaped with great accuracy. The internal cutouts inside the G10 handle slabs are perfectly ground for the thickness of the steel liners. The blade is beveled neatly on both sides, with a sharp edge right out of the box. No lop-sided grinds.
The steel is a newer Chinese "mystery steel" which is actually really good. The hardness rating (as per the manufacturer) is 58-59 HRC, which is the same as many higher-priced Japanese or US knives, and performance so far is backing that up.
The blade has an interesting gray Titanium Nitride finish. This is an actual coating of a durable substance, NOT just a sand-blasted texture used by many other knives. Sand-blasted (or "bead blasted") textures actually increase the possibility of rust, while a titanium nitride coating reduces it (though it probably isn't necessary).
The thumb stud works very well. It has layered concentric ridges, which results in both smoother rotation under your thumb and a good grip.
My only complaint is that both the pocket clip and the liner lock are tighter than I would like. I almost dropped 1 star for this, but it's partly a preference issue and it can be adjusted if you are brave enough.
For a very low price, you get a well-made knife that looks good and performs well. You can do a lot worse for the same price, and you can spend more without doing much better.
