Let it sit a day or two if you can. In my experience, it seems to increase the effectiveness. No big deal if you can't, certainly don't have to. For $12, this'll get you through one hard season. Very easy to apply. If you can curl your finger, you can use this stuff. Don't be afraid to over-apply, there's no such thing. Every time I've used it, I have not been disappointed. Haven't got wet yet!
