You can believe this review, i hope you can try to buy this product if you want know this product. Ok, so I bought this tent light for a camping trip to Big Bend. The light performed great with only the same problem that everyone else mentions. You have to turn a knob on the side to turn it on, dim or amber, but the battery enclosure is on the opposite side and feels identical in the dark. This was a major FAIL as getting the batteries back in correctly in the dark is not too easy. I easily fixed this by duct taping the battery door side shut!
With that said, this was awesome. The amber lights were the perfect amount of light for night time and sine they are LED, I was able to keep them on all night long for 3 nights in a row with the same batteries. I used the bright white lights for several hours also on the same batteries and this thing performed like a champ. It is compact and light weight, bright enough to play cards or read with. the amber lights are dim enough to sleep and bright enough that you can open the tent to "visit the great outdoors" at night without waking anyone else with a bright light or killing yourself.
I would TOTALLY recommend this, but I will only give it 4 stars because of the battery door. After fixing it with duct tape, it was fine, but I did cuss the light a couple of times before fixing the epic fail myself.
